This kind of cake is not usually my cup of tea, as I prefer light and fluffy cakes usually. However, my sister Cindy really loved it due to its denseness and fragrance. The caramelized orange slices really gives it an extra tinge of tartness too~
This is one of my favourite recipes and my all-time go-to coffee roll.
Everyone who’s tasted it has loved it, and I usually make it with whipped fresh cream, though once I’ve tried to make it with mascarpone cream filling. Still most people prefer the former.

This cake was inspired by Sweetapolia . It is a lovely fluffy vanilla cake with blueberry compote between the layers, then smothered over with pastel coloured rich buttercream.
I really loved the aesthetics but this is a decadent cake to eat in moderation! =]
